[3중급] 마가복음 1장
The beginning of the gospelabout Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is writtenin Isaiah the prophet: "I will sendmy messengerahead of you,who will prepare your way"-- "a voice of one callingin the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.' " And so John came, baptizingin the desert regionand preaching a baptism of repentancefor the forgiveness of sins. The whole Judean countrysideand all the people of Jerusalemwent out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptizedby himin the Jordan River. John wore clothingmade of camel's hair, with a leather beltaround his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And this was his message:"After mewill comeone more powerful than I,the thongs of whose sandalsI am not worthyto stoop down and untie. I baptize youwith water, but he will baptize youwith the Holy Spirit." At that timeJesus camefrom Nazareth in Galileeand was baptizedby John in the Jordan. As Jesus was coming upout of the water,he saw heavenbeing torn openand the Spirit descending on himlike a dove. And a voice camefrom heaven:"You are my Son,whom I love;with youI am well pleased." At oncethe Spirit sent him outinto the desert, and he wasin the desertforty days, being tempted by Satan. He waswith the wild animals, and angels attended him. After John was putin prison,Jesus wentinto Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. "The time has come,"he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" As Jesus walkedbeside the Sea of Galilee,he sawSimon and his brother Andrewcasting a netinto the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me,"Jesus said,"and I will make you fishers of men." At oncethey left their netsand followed him. When he had gonea little farther,he saw James son of Zebedeeand his brother Johnin a boat, preparing their nets. Without delayhe called them, and they lefttheir father Zebedeein the boatwith the hired menand followed him. They wentto Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came,Jesus wentinto the synagogueand began to teach. The people were amazedat his teaching, because he taught themas onewho had authority, not as the teachers of the law. Just then a manin their synagoguewho was possessedby an evil spirit cried out, "What do you want with us,Jesus of Nazareth? Have you cometo destroy us? I knowwho you are--the Holy One of God!" "Be quiet!"said Jesussternly. "Come out of him!" The evil spirit shook the manviolentlyand came out of himwith a shriek. The peoplewere all so amazedthat they askedeach other, "What is this?A new teaching--and with authority! He even gives ordersto evil spiritsand they obey him." News about himspread quicklyover the whole region of Galilee. As soon as they leftthe synagogue, they wentwith James and Johnto the home of Simon and Andrew. Simon's mother-in-law wasin bedwith a fever, and they told Jesusabout her. So he went to her, took her handand helped her up. The fever left herand she beganto wait on them. That evening after sunsetthe people broughtto Jesusall the sick and demon-possessed. The whole town gatheredat the door, and Jesus healed manywho had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but he would not let the demons speakbecause they knewwho he was. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark,Jesus got up,left the houseand went offto a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to lookfor him,and when they found him, they exclaimed:"Everyone is lookingfor you!"Jesus replied,"Let us gosomewhere else--to the nearby villages--so I can preachthere also. That iswhy I have come." So he traveledthroughout Galilee, preachingin their synagoguesand driving out demons. A manwith leprosycame to himand begged himon his knees,"If you are willing, you can make me clean." Filled with compassion,Jesus reached out his handand touched the man. "I am willing,"he said. "Be clean!"Immediately the leprosy left himand he was cured. Jesus sent him awayat oncewith a strong warning:"Seethat you don't tell thisto anyone. But go,show yourselfto the priestand offer the sacrificesthat Moses commandedfor your cleansing,as a testimonyto them." Insteadhe went outand began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result,Jesus could no longer entera town openlybut stayed outsidein lonely places. Yet the people still cameto him
