[4고급] This weekend will mark the 52nd online service at Saddleback Church,

At first
the silence was deafening.
It was so quiet,
in fact,
that you could hear
the rustling of the book
as it was opened.
Then those words,
those sweet words,
filled the air.
They were joined first
by sniffles,
and then by bittersweet tears
that couldn't be contained.
As Ezra the priest read the Bible
as it existed at the time
at Israel's first large gathering
since returning from heartbreaking exile
and the completion of the rebuilding of Jerusalem's wall,
the crowd that had gathered was reminded
of the gift and power of God's Word.
And as another reality sank in -
there's NO place like home -
tears of joy and gratitude couldn't be contained.
When Ezra finished,
Nehemiah, the new governor, addressed the people
and told them "This day is holy to our Lord.
Do not grieve,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
(Neh 8:10)
This weekend will mark the 52nd online service
at Saddleback Church,
and while we're so grateful
for technology and the ability
to continue to worship God
in beautiful ways throughout the pandemic,
there's just no place like home.
That's why we're so excited
about regathering and seeing you
once again for our first in-person outdoor services
in over a year
on Palm Sunday, March 28th.
It will be an emotional day for sure.
And it will be a joyous day,
holy to the Lord,
that will strengthen our hearts and faith together!
Registration for in-person services

beginning March 11th.

as you get baptized,

처음에는
침묵은 귀가 먹먹할 정도였다.
너무 조용했어요,
사실은,
당신이 들을 수 있었던 것

슬퍼하지 마십시오.
여호와를 기뻐하는 것이 너희의 힘이니라”
