A Christian Perspective on thhe Essential of Multicultural Education in Korea This study aims to investigate the situation of multicultural education in our country and consider how to materialize neighbor-love in multicultural education, which is the essential of multicultural education and God's command. For this purpose, the contents and problem of multicultural education in our country was reviewed and multicultural education was reviewed by christian perspective. The findings are as follows. First, the contents of multicultural education were the understanding on culture, diversity, equality and social justice, world citizenship. the target of education were foreign labors, international marriage, North Korean refugees. And the class of education were institute and society, school and teacher, parents, normal student, multicultural student. Multicultural edcucation has to be carried in regard to these contents and targets and classes. Second, in christian perspective multicultural education has to be done actualizing God's will. Its concrete notion must be the practice of neighbor-love. In conclusion, through this study the essential of multicultural can be a core principal determining the contens and methods, moreover multicultural education program on christian perspective actualizing this essential principal is necessary to made up.
