This is an unprecedented time in history.
Notifications, opinions, memes, news articles, videos, etc. pop up on our devices and screens at all hours of the day.
An instantaneous and never-ending river of what's wrong in our world bombards our eyes and ears and hearts.
Without the ability to fix the problems of our world or to heal the pain, the result can be anger, frustration, fear, anxiety, blame, or worry.
So what do we do with all of this?
The Apostle Paul has some encouraging, and challenging words: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, ESV)
The good news is we don't need to shoulder the unbearable weight of pandemics, or horrors of Afghanistan and Haiti alone.
For those things, we pray and intercede to God on our world's behalf.
And we can hand the burden over to the One who is in control.
The One who holds the world in his hands.
What we will be accountable for is how we live our lives.
How do we treat that person who holds different views than us?
How do we help our neighbor, or a friend in need?
How do we love our spouse, our kids, our family members?
We live in a broken world, but in our own little spheres of influence we can be a light in the darkness.
Jesus wants to work through you to restore the brokenness around you.
We pray that this week you would experience the joy, fulfillment, and hope that comes from following Jesus and advancing the work of his kingdom.
You are where you are for a purpose!

As one body, let's celebrate the beauty and richness of God's goodness and faithfulness, and be reminded we have a hope that can endure all things.

즉각적이고 끝나지 않는 문제의 강(이) 우리 세상에서 우리의 눈과 귀와 마음을 폭격합니다.
능력이 없으면 우리 세계의 문제를 해결하기 (위한) 혹은 고통을 치유하기 (위한) 그 결과는 분노, 좌절, 두려움, 불안, 비난 또는 걱정일 수 있습니다.
그럼 우리는 이 모든 것을 어떻게 해야 할까요?
사도 바울은 격려적이면서도 도전적인 말을 했습니다. "아무것도 염려하지 말라. 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 감사함으로 여러분의 요청을 하나님께 알리십시오.
