Dear Saddleback Family, I'm happy to announce that on Palm Sunday, March 28, we will begin offering outdoor services at our California campuses! For Easter, we are working on creative ways to safely hold outdoor services at all of our California campuses. In order to do that, we'll be doing a soft opening on Palm Sunday. Mask and social distancing rules will apply AND reservations will be required. Services will of course be free, but you will need a ticket to get in (reservations will open March 11). This will help regulate social distancing at every service during this transition of bringing our services back and better than ever before. I'm curious to know how you plan on celebrating Easter this year! Would you do me a favor and fill out this quick survey? So why now? What has changed? With the new health and safety protocols in place on our campus, the numbers in our area trending down, and the release of the vaccination, we feel we are ready to take our first step of a multi-phase plan to gather in person for weekly worship. If you don't feel ready to gather in person, please continue joining us online. Your safety remains our top priority. These outdoor services are available for those ready to gather and willing to commit to the safety guidelines. We will be sending you more information soon about how you can get your ticket to attend, ways you can serve at your campus, and/or how to host a watch party in your neighborhood. I love you and I can't wait to see you again! Saddleback at Home Alternate text Worship Where You Are Do we pray to God like he's our boss, or do we pray to God like he's our Father? When the COVID-19 pandemic prompted stay-at-home orders in Orange County, it was clear that people would need human connection. Saddleback's solution was creating a new ministry of Care Callers. Throughout the past year, our volunteers have been working to contact thousands of people who are stuck at home and struggling with feelings of loneliness and isolation. Not only are people finding comfort through the spiritual guidance and prayer offered by these volunteers, physical needs are being met too. When a need is presented to our Care Callers, the information is passed along to other ministries that deliver food and supplies. Read more about how these calls have been changing lives!
