<Abstract>
An Analysis of Research Trends in Job Stress of Child Care Teacher
The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends of the domestic journals of childcare teachers’ job stress and to suggest the direction of the future research on job stress. The total number of 123 studies for the recent 23 years was selected, which were published on the journals beyond the level of the registered candidates of the National Research Foundation of Korea, according to their years, research methods, and research contents.
The major results are as follows. First, the research topic of job stress reflects the recent social interests, which has flourished since 2011.
Second, the questionnaires of quantitative studies have mostly used, and there are an increasing number of studies on various data analysis methods whose participants are childcare teachers in Seoul and Gyeongi Province.
Third, the research variables can be categorized into individual, groups, duties, and teacher professionalism, and the research on the variables of self-understanding, leadership, emotional capability, and mental health of individual factors has thrived.
Through the results of this study, the future research on job stress should be on the exploration of the relationship among a variety of research variables and the program development focusing on the practical alternatives for managing the job stress.
